Exploited Earth in pictures - the Prix Pictet photography prize 2009
The Prix Pictet is an international photography award for remarkable images that focus on environmental sustainability. This year the broad theme is 'earth' and many of the entries focus on the harmful and often irreversible effects of exploiting the earth's resources. See the shortlisted entries here. Shortlisted images will begin a global tour in October 2009 and the winner will be annouced by Kofi Annan on the 22nd October.
